Before installing a heat pump system, there is a few things to consider.
- The heat pump can be positioned in the warmest location.
- There is enough empty space around the heat pump to allow adequate air flow.
- There is access to the system for installation and ongoing maintenance - they have a larger footprint than most ground storage systems.
- There is at least 1.2 m clearance from bedroom windows or living room windows to minimize the effects of the noise generated by the heat pump, alternatively some systems have timers to block out timers.
- Ensure you fully read individual manufacturer's instructions on ventilation and space requirements.
